- WHITE DRAGON : THE BRIDGE OF LIFE OF THE MOC CHAU PEOPLE
Just as the world is being brought closer together, travel is becoming more and more convenient. At the same time, the tourism and hospitality industry, as well as urban life in general, have expanded by “leaps and bounds”. Villages in deep, remote locations, where ethnic groups make their homes, have transformed into travel destinations sought after by the adventurous tourism market. The more mysterious the sense and definition of place, the more exciting the discovery becomes.

Local dwellings are being incorporated into tourism trends. The concept of privacy is almost thoroughly blended with the sharing of one’s space with others. These are the conditions experienced by many groups of Vietnamese who are adapting to the forward-moving trends of the world. The Moc Chau people are one such example. They reside in the northern region of the country, about 200 kilometers from Hanoi. The lives of the Moc Chau people have been tied to the White Dragon Bridge, even before the beginning of the construction of the bridge itself.
